TankStocked is published by Cedarstone Ventures and is supported by affiliate partnerships, including the Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We may also participate in other affiliate programs with aquarium and pet retailers.
When a link is an affiliate link, you'll see it labeled (for example, "Recommended gear · affiliate"). The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet — you pay the same price you would otherwise.
How this affects our recommendations
- It doesn't. Our calculators and guides are written independently. The math behind our tools is the same whether or not a product is linked.
- We do not fabricate reviews, prices, ratings, or specifications. Where you see a product slot without a live link, it's a placeholder we have not yet filled with a vetted recommendation.
- We aim to recommend gear that genuinely fits the guidance on the page (for example, a filter that meets the GPH our calculator suggests), not whatever pays most.
